had my haldex serviced 2 days ago, they said every 3 years and brake fluid 3rd, 5th and 7th year. had them to print out the prices of when and wot needs servicing, as i was getting different info. from each service adviser i spoke to, not much confidence in them at all. 1.

Klart mekonomen är billigare när de inte byter alla grejer. Tänk på att det kan kosta 5siffrigt om detta med oljebyte misslyckas. Då är någon 500 i prisskillnad en bagatell.

Over the past number of months, mainly thanks to this site, I have since found out that the Haldex service should be done every 40k miles. This service interval is clearly evident from reading on here and also on lots of other websites.

- On vehicles with a Haldex Filter (Gen1 & Gen2) it is good practice to replace the oil and the filter at 20,000 mile intervals. - On some vehicles where the Haldex system has a filter from factory, but the main dealers don't sell a replacement (Gen4) it is possible to purchase a filter from ourselves which can help increase the lifespan of the factory pump. For my car and driving habits 25-30K Haldex service intervals would seem to be fine. I think that checking it once fairly early, then determining what, if any, more frequent service interval than 30K miles should be followed is the prudent thing to do.

I had my Haldex oil changed and the pump removed to clean the filter at 7k miles by an independant and it was amongst the dirtiest. Over the past number of months, mainly thanks to this site, I have since found out that the Haldex service should be done every 40k miles. This service interval is clearly evident from reading on here and also on lots of other websites. So the Mk7 Golf R Haldex as far as a VW DEalership have told you. VW Group / UK will have to be covering that extra servicing charge then to those that own cars, pay the servicing and bought them knowing DSG & Haldex Servicing intervals were at 40,000 miles.
The service history is listed in the ad but only dates and location.

Haldex is due every 3 years regardless of mileage. If you have a service contract or their carefree maintenance, they do it as part of the 30k service, but the official service interval doesn't specify a mileage.

The haldex oil change is actually very easy to change on a mark4 (and I assume the mk5 is just as simple). If you you-tube search it, you'll see how stupidly easy it is.
